Our Trip to Disneyland

Our Family went on a vacation to California September 23-28.
We spent 5 days in Disneyland.
It was so much fun to watch the kids eyes light up, get so excited, and have so much fun.
It's something I wish we could do every year.
By the end of 5 days we were exhausted, and I was ready to go home.
Emma on the other hand cried so hard while we were getting ready to go to the airport.

They both rode all of the rides that they could go on.

Emma is exactly 43" tall so she was able to go on most things.

She was so disappointed that someone got the horse she wanted.

This is the first charactor we met,
and Madison wasn't sure what to think about this huge talking stuffed animal!

The slide was one of Madison's favorite things to do,

Minnie Mouse was thier favorite Charactor,
we met her multiple times, and that wasn't enough for Emma.

If you look closely you can see the ice cream on Plutos nose.
That was from Madison! Ooops!
So tired.

If you look you will notice that Madison isn't wearing any shoes.
That is beacuse she threw one off the stroller, and we couldn't find it.
The park will not let her stand on the ground without shoes.
She was so mad that she couldn't run around.
We ended up loosing the same shoe 3 times, and got it back every time.
(not without some real searching!)

Swimming in the hotel pool.
One of Emma's most exciting moments was finding these animal prints on the sidewalk.
She is Val's mom's grandkid!

Madison loved the eyes, and the Merri go round was one of her favorites.

This Fall

Here are some of the highlights we experienced so far this fall.
They are not necessarily in order, since I don't remember exactly when they all happened.

Emma Started School.

This was actually the 2nd day. She looks so cute in her uniforms.

This is the first day. She is just glowing with excitement.

And of course Madison couldn't be left out.
Madison has been going through a jacket phase.
Even when it was too hot outside for a jacket, or she comes inside she has to wear one.

These are the butterflies we raised from catepillers in the late summer.
The one on the right didn't come all the way out of his crystalis, and couldn't fly.

We found one dead, and decided to let the others go, so after the others flew away Emma held the dead butterfly gently in her hands talking to it, and then started figuring it out by playing with the wings and bending it in weird ways, kids!!

This is one time Emma was in time out and
I guess Madison thought it looked fun because she joined her!

This is Madison's first movie in the theater.
We saw "UP" at the dollar theater.
That's the only place I take my kids, since I don't know how long it will last.
I ended up leaving about 15 minutes early with Madison.
That's not bad.

We made Brownies, and as the girls were licking the beaters,
Madison grabbed some vegetables that were sitting on the counter,
and started eating that instead.
So funny!
But not Emma!

Madison LOVES Dora!

This is my birthday, we went to Joe's Crab Shack as a family.

The girls got dressed up.

And I got the birthday song.
My friend Jenny was our waitress,
So she let Emma go pick out my costume.
Emma decided I should be a princess,
and I made her call me "Pretty, Pretty Princess" all night long.
It was so funny.
And she made me wear a bib.
My kids just stared at me with that thing on.
